Shanghai, China

I had a friend living in China that I was supposed to visit months ago but never got the chance to do so. She was getting ready to leave for another country so I had to seize the opportunity while I still had a tour guide and a free place to stay. I was only there for a weekend but we packed in as much entertainment as is humanly possible in that time. In total I may have slept for 5 hours the whole trip.

The night I landed we were out until the sun came up so we made our way to this cool place for breakfast. It reminded me of a little italian bar (though I have never been to Italy).

I ordered the Eggs Benedict which was absolutely devine 🙂

Apparently sleep is necessary to maintaining human functions.IMG_5358 IMG_5360 IMG_5361 IMG_5362 IMG_5363 IMG_5364 IMG_5365

Ok in all honestly I may have been wrong for taking this picture but I really didn’t believe that grown women dressed like this. Well, they do in Shanghai…IMG_5415 IMG_5421

My trip was finished up with an exquisite sunday brunch at the Westin Hotel. It was worth every dollar!!! All 100 of them…IMG_5438 IMG_5439IMG_5446 IMG_5447 IMG_5472 IMG_5475 IMG_5482 IMG_5486

Caviar is not really my thing. A little too salty for me. But when paired with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot it washes down nicely.IMG_5506 IMG_5521 IMG_5523 IMG_5529

Not sure whats going on with this statue. Kinda freaky.IMG_5532

Like my grandfather used to say, “if a man cant live like THIS, he should just die”IMG_4215 IMG_4224 IMG_4236 IMG_4261 IMG_4266 IMG_4269
